I am a home-grown tomato...
This goes out to one of my good friends...the NAMINATOR. I was just thinking about her lately, because she's a rock star! Nam, Nammie, I feel that I don't mention her enough on my entries sometimes, and I think she might feel a little neglected on one occasion or another. I swear I've talked about her before, and mentioned her, but I don't remember exactly. But I was thinking about specific people I mention and I'm a little wish-washy w/ that. Sometimes, I mention names, sometimes I don't...but I don't really adhere to any specific rules about that kinda stuff. But oh well...that's just the way the ball bounces. HA HA HA
I'm still in the office...damnit. I've been working on this project all freakin day, and I am quite tired...even though I didn't stay up as late as I usually do.
Here is one reason why it's good to ask questions, amongst dozens of others. I was looking over my itinerary for next week, and found that I will be staying in Totowa, at some Holiday Inn out there. I looked up the Alpine address for our NJ office on one of the navigation systems and it showed that the office was 18 miles away from my hotel! I was like DUDE, WTF...how am I supposed to know my way around? The hotel was supposed to be like 2 miles away from the office. So I started kinda freakin out and thought I'd just call the Eng. Supervisor over there and figure somethin out...probably ask if I get a company car while I'm out there or something. But today, I just asked someone about getting around over there and I told them how my hotel was all far away, and they were like what are you talking about? Our NJ office is IN Totowa...(sigh). THANK GOODNESS!!!! So it IS really close to the office, one exit away...so even if I were not supplied w/ a company car for the week, they said someone could pick me up cuz it's on everyone's way. When in doubt man, just ask...save yourself the initial grief...cuz it might not be so bad. But I guess it's good to assume the worst and hope for the best, right?
